What to Expect at Your Appointment
A little preparation goes a long way. Here is what to have ready so your notarization goes smoothly.
Bring Valid Photo ID
You will need a current, unexpired government-issued photo ID. Accepted: state driver's license or ID card, U.S. passport, or military ID. Expired IDs cannot be accepted under Washington state law.
Have Your Documents Ready
Bring all documents that need to be notarized. Do not sign anything before the notary arrives. If you are unsure whether your documents are ready, contact us beforehand.
All Signers Must Be Present
Every person who needs to sign must be physically present at the appointment (or connected via video for remote online notarization). We cannot notarize documents that were signed in advance.
Know Your Documents
You should understand what you are signing. The notary verifies identity and willingness but cannot provide legal advice. If you have questions about the content, consult an attorney first.
Payment Already Collected
You paid securely at booking — nothing more due at the appointment. Need a refund? See our cancellation policy.
Allow 15–30 Minutes
A standard notarization takes about 15 minutes. Larger document packages (apostille prep, multi-signer estate plans) may take longer. We will give you a time estimate when we confirm your appointment.
