Wedding Officiant Services
As a commissioned notary public in Washington state, we are legally authorized to solemnize marriages under RCW 26.04.050. From simple elopements on the Gig Harbor waterfront to personalized intimate ceremonies, we make your special day official.
Why Choose a Notary as Your Wedding Officiant?
In Washington state, notaries public are one of the few officials legally authorized to solemnize marriages. This means we can officiate your wedding with the same legal authority as a judge or religious leader, but with more flexibility on location, timing, and style.
Whether you want a quick courthouse-style signing or a heartfelt personalized ceremony, we bring professionalism and warmth to your special day. Gig Harbor's waterfront parks, historic harbor walk, and scenic overlooks provide stunning natural backdrops for intimate ceremonies and elopements.
Unlike online-ordained ministers, a Washington state notary public has a verifiable commission, is background-screened, and bonded. Your marriage certificate is handled with the same care and legal precision we bring to every document we process.

Wedding Officiant FAQ
Is a notary public legally authorized to marry people in Washington?
Yes. Under RCW 26.04.050, Washington state law explicitly authorizes notaries public to solemnize marriages. A marriage performed by a commissioned notary public is fully legal and recognized in all 50 states and internationally.
What do we need to bring?
You need a valid Washington state marriage license, which you can obtain from any county auditor's office in Washington. Both parties need valid government-issued photo ID. The license must be obtained before the ceremony and is valid for 60 days after issuance. There is no waiting period in Washington state.
Can you perform ceremonies on weekends or evenings?
Absolutely. We perform ceremonies 7 days a week, including evenings and weekends. Weekend and evening ceremonies may include a surcharge depending on the package selected, but our Premium Package includes weekend and evening availability at no extra charge.
Do you write the ceremony script?
For our Custom Ceremony and Premium Package, yes. We work with you to create a personalized ceremony that reflects your relationship and values. You can include your own vows, readings, cultural traditions, or religious elements. For Simple Elopements, we provide a brief, dignified ceremony script.
How many witnesses do we need?
Washington state requires at least two witnesses who are 18 or older to sign the marriage license. We can serve as one witness and bring a second if needed, or your guests can serve as witnesses.
